Just watch season one and two of FiM and call it quits at the peak. Every season gets gradually worse overall than the last from thereon due to sloppy writing and decisions from Hasbro. I had to tap out at season six when rewatching. EqG is barely related to the show. I enjoyed the four EqG movies as a bab and thought they had some then perceived "cool" concepts and songs, yet I've neglected to rewatch them out of disinterest. From what I recall the 2017 movie sucked shit so skip it.

Barely related but /mlp/ is holding an anniversary stream in a few days on a CyTube instance rewatching absolutely everything, if you need an excuse to bother with any of the show.
