Krita's paint bucket tool and how do I use it?

A question thread
all the options are pretty straightforward and you can see exactly what they do by hovering over them in the tool options tab on the right panel

the most useful by far are probably the threshold and grow settings. Threshold determines how close a color has to be to another to be considered the same and thus affected by the fill, so 1 = only the exact color, 100 = all colors
grow is a way to artificially fight antialiasing and properly fill images with it. when you fill an area with it, it will fill the exterior contour pixels of the area as well by the ammount specified, ignoring wether they are part of the fill region or not, it "thickens" the fill which paired with the threshold makes filling antialiased regions reasonable
other options include what area is filled (similar by color, similar by shape, or manual selection) and etcetera but its pretty snca

What are the benefits to gimp i've heard it has many
Idk its just Photoshop but free and community driven, literally an image manipulator, its in the name
I use it for making bs, not any rule34 that the krita drawing pad jerdee members do
