I used mint for like a month and a half and really liked the overall experience, doe I switched to W11 iot ltsc after that because I couldn't figure out how to make pirated games work on mint (which to be honest it's my fault because I was dummyed and haven't done any research regarding linux outside of one youtube video and the linux mint documentation before installing)
I might try it for the second time but this time I'll actually do some proper research and might also dual-boot probably
Also I tried working with W10 iot ltsc twice, but during both times I couldn't get audio working after installation because of some (((proprietary))) Jewtel audio driver that is not available for my shitty laptop unless I use W11

try building your own desktop environment this time around. If you can do everything you need to do on Windows perfectly fine then I do not believe there's much point in switching to a distro. Unless you want to learn something new. Which is why I suggest you do that instead of relying on distributions that have them preinstalled.

Sure, fair, but MX Linux is terrible? I tried daily-driving it around this time last year and the default applications and repositories blew. I only stopped using it due to it refusing to boot one morning for no apparent reason.

No it's not! It's peak and it just works, and it's kino and it works on my machine and it has me softwarinos and my clitty has leaked because of this.
