November 17th, 2025 [continued]:
“Um, okay. I just wanted to share something that probably everybody should know, because you might get asked about it. So the Latinx lady mentioned future global leaders night. So what is it? Because some people might, like, teachers might ask you about it if they see you wearing a holiday shirt or your stuff. So just try to stand and direct and give them information. So it's that we're doing like a scavenger hand kind of thing, a challenge. So the first thing they have to do if they ask about it, send them to our [company table, okay? So if they ask about it, send them to the [company] table, but we will have them do it. The students will take one job, it can be immigration attorney or, it can be a diplomat or a consul or it can be an international trade specialist. Something connected to international humanitarian advocate, okay? They will pick a job, and then they will pick a country, like Italy, Burma, or Japan, and then they will have to learn about how- what kind of qualifications do I need to do that job, so they will talk to universities, okay? They will then go to the book Burmese booth and they might ask about Burma. ‘Oh, I’m gonna be working in Burma!’ They are playing around like they play, like a scenario, like a game, okay? They're supposed to learn more about the country. Okay? And then they will do a reflection form and they can submit it to us and then win an award, okay? So if students come to your booths, like Afghanistan Booth, or the Burma Booth, or Japan Booth and ask about this, this is what they're doing. They're doing the future global leaders challenge. If any teacher or student asks about the game: ‘How do I play?’ You send them to our [company] table, so anyone who's staffing the table should know about that game, okay? So, and nowhere to find the part with countries and the other one with roles. Okay, and that will be happening on Friday afternoon. And another thing is the consul's visit on Saturday, so the consul is arriving at 12:30pm, so whoever is staffing the volunteer book uh this is where we will be meaning the council, okay? So be on the lookout. He'll be travelling with some of his assistants, personal assistants. So he'll be waiting for him there. If you were to arrive ahead of time, please immediately text me or call me, you are at the booth, but hopefully we'll be there before he arrives. Uh, he will make a speech on the main stage, uh, and then after the Japanese groups finished performing, he will go into the second floor meeting room for a meet and greet. And that's another thing you might get asked about because there are some uh, attendees coming for that meet and greet. So this is by invitation only. So the general public is not invited to that event, uh we have a list of about 25 people who will be at that event and they might ask you for directions to that second floor. So that's that second floor room where we had to remember after the opening ceremony last year, we had the dinner. So this is where you need to uh, uh show them too. So I'd rather, if somebody asks you for directions, if you walk with them to the room, because we will have like CEOs of some companies there or, I don't know, like representatives of WEDC. So instead of just telling them where it is, if you can just walk them to the room, that would be really appreciated. So that's it. And the third is just more of a reminder, because when you're staffing different booths, I bet you're going to get a lot of questions about. ‘How does everything with the Trump administration affect your work?’ right? We saw that last year we'll probably see more of these questions. So just remember what we talked about, what we talked about, communication, policy of [company], we stay neutral. Just make sure you say we're still doing the work and then focus on things we are doing, rather than the things that we are not doing. Okay? So that's not about talking about the programs that have gone away or funding that going away. Let's talk about the programs we are still doing. OK? And then also try to read the room and the audience you are interacting with, and there might be a lot of people who are more leaning conservative at HFF. So if they ask you about legal services, probably the first thing that you say should not be asylum cases, start with things like citizenship and green cards, or things that are, you know, people don't have sreal womang political opinions about, okay? And then there would be press, Yeilxáak is going to be talking to the press, there will be additional press because of the consul's visit. There will be, I know that we invited two photojournalists and they would have press passes. They might ask questions again, remember, we are not allowed to talk to press. So if they ask for an interview, just, you have to refer them to our leadership, okay? So find your supervisor and then the supervisor will talk to Yeilxáak and the Latinx Lady, and then Yeilxáak will talk to the press. Okay? That's... And then there were some [4 letter acronym] updates. We have one [4 letter acronym] person in December and the project is going to happen, so that, um, one of the meetings that I have to set up is actually Fujito, and the CEO of Fujito will be at HFF. So, I'm gonna be working on that too.” - The Polish lady
They went around, taking longer than usual to speak. I was on the Booru replying to everything the people commented on, exaggerating my rage for comedic value, and I was about to burst out in laughter but had to keep my hand over my mouth. I spoke when I got my assignment with Elon and 2 others to work on. I wish I got a better assignment but I went to get my t-shirt and then get a candy that was in the office someone brought. I talked about having some issues getting there by 8:00am due to the weird bus route system. I would have to get Elon to pick me up and potentially pick people u. I haven’t seen Liseuxa yet. I had to leave to go to classes and got home, packed some stuff, and walked to campus, but there was no Art History class today. I realized I didn’t have my wallet so I walked back home to grab it then walked to the newest building to return the wallet. I was feeling kind of sick so I bought a bag of poppers chips which were advertised by Breaking Bad actors. I enjoyed them and then went over to the actual police station and returned the wallet to little fanfare. I checked to see if my second class was happening and along the way encountered Mahdi, Markus, and the Honduran getting ready to study. I got there and the door was locked. I then had the rest of my hot chicken drunken noodles at home for lunch and then took the bus back to work. There was a skip in the bus flow so I ended up being late and on the way, I sat near this homeless Black guy saying random burst of words like:
“Baboon, monkey, baboon, alcohol, liquor, they all say I’m crazy!”
I had no idea what to make of it. I texted Seth M beforehand and he was ok with it. I continued not doing much work today except I tried to talk with Harmony C, Staples, then Tia to talk about a volunteer that’s gone. I had to then print out a card for a photographer at the event and my card printer refused to print, no matter what I did until I called Seth M over to fix it. He got it working magically. I overheard that technically, Kiana’s mom is a single mother, so Kiana got a lot of stuff in high school for free, including lunch and paying for the ACT. I dislike Kiana’s mom now. I left after clocking out and went over to the bus. At 4:18pm, I got into the bus with this obese giant real woman, it had black lipstick, thin dirty blond hair, black-rimmed glasses, and it was constantly doing an unsettling teethy smile. It has a tattoo with a sword surrounded by a ribbon saying: “Fight like a girl.” I tried to take a photo when I got off but failed to capture a gemmy image of a real woman. I got home and continued gaming and writing. I made al dente fettuccine after watching a video from an Italian and dumping the pasta water into the roasted garlic sauce to cook it. I loved it and then completed my Art History and Greek Mythology. I took a shower and went to bed.
