May 18th, 2026: Monday today, I woke up extra early and had cereal. I got up and dressed for work before taking the bus there. At work I made the coffee and then got situated for the meeting that was a bit longer than usual but here’s what I recorded:
“Well, good morning, everybody. This week, if you need to meet with me, I got a lot of ad hoc meetings. I'll try to put as many as I could in the calendar, but just to give you guys a heads up if you need to meet with me, Wednesday is probably the best day. That seems like the external people are not asking for that day. This afternoon, I'm going to be going to [church I found in letters last summer] and talking to them about their international community center, the see if there's any more relationships we can create there. We'll see. And I also wanted to point out that we're getting ready for work that we're going to do in DC the first couple of weeks in June. It's on the heels of our board- full board meeting on the 27th, so we're trying to get ready for the board meeting as well. One of the things I wanted to point out, you know, kudos to the audit team here. there's already been an improvement in the official documents. I knew this was going to happen when I put the request in this morning. It only took like about maybe… minutes for documents to get put together and sent to me. just like It's nice. Everything is becoming very streamlined because of requirements that we have from the federal government, and we have a really good auditor as well. So we're as an institution, we're learning a lot, and we're also becoming very proficient at showing off our documents of compliance. That being said, though, I want to sound like a broken record, I want to. I want you to keep up with your good record keeping on your time, You and I have to keep record on my time, showing what I do. I'm transparent. I let people in to work when I'm coming and going. I think that even for myself, I probably could become a little bit more descriptive, but there's just so much going on and so many hours that unfortunately, during the week. But for those of you have the fixed hours, try to make sure you do everything inside those hours, and do your notes, if you work with clients directly right away, it works out so much better there. I had a discussion with my nephew who was actually doing human services now. He is having a really great success because his case notes, he's been listening to what I say about what we do there in general. And I described how you guys were. So you adopted it, and you actually does the case looks like right away, like what he takes applies to medical, and he starts putting in the notes like right away for medical, or when you transport, banking, or driver's license and whatnot. There was some waiting time sometimes, and he uses the systems that they gave him to put all the items in, just like you guys are doing. He's having a great success. So I get a feel for it at home and I also get a feel for it here, and I really appreciate all the work he guys are doing. If you support those who actually do the client work, make sure that you do that work in a timely fashion because that translates into getting timely help to our clients. Make sure we anticipate the needs of the clients and keep on thinking about what else we can do for our clients. I can't stress enough. It's on like a cliche, but when we get closer to September, we need to really have our ideas flushed out for our [3 letter acronym] are a clearer picture of what the balance is going to have to be between services that we provide for funds for the services that we do a fee for service, and also the grants that we get, because there's going to be changes there, and we'll let you know as soon as we know what those changes are coming from the state, which actually comes from the federal. So right now, things are steady state as best as they can. We still are in a better shape than all the other [job field]. When I went to or went to the rack meeting with Zach A and Lillehammer, there's a lot of information that we already knew, I would say, right? Right? Right, folks? We already knew. But there are other agencies need to ask a few questions, and we're one of the agencies that did speak up, so as little as the contributions are the fact that we actually went there, they do things in person, is a bigger impact and maybe what you guys would don't. So you too, I'm really thankful that you guys were there. It's really nice. And I think the last thing about this is that we'll keep a close eye on what's happening with the other [similar work field]. There may come a time where we pick up the slack, which would be good for us. So if I hear about it anytime soon, I'll let you know right away. That would be just something nice for us. Any questions? All right, like I said, if you need to meet with me Wednesday is probably a good time.” - The CEO
The next announcement by the Latinx lady was that the accountant who had been working here for 25 years departed last Friday. When it was my turn to speak, I said I still had finals so I’d be only part time this week. I overheard Edgar and Staples talking, it was her sister’s birthday on Saturday. I got back to my spot and spent most of the time working on finishing up the section I was reassigned to. By finishing up I mean that I actually just got it back to not crashing whenever I ran: ‘npm run dev’ which I got near the end of the work day. Edgar came over to my desk to socialize a bit before I left to get pizza for lunch. After getting back at 12:24pm, I pushed the code to the database and then clocked out at 12:59pm. I debated on if I should go to the school library or to home but I chose home as I had to drop something off. When I got home I played Fire Emblem Awakening a little bit before starting on my writer’s choice final submission. I sorted most of my papers and took the two critiques that I received and rewrote it a bit to fit with the design suggestions but not others, It took so long as I was just delaying by gaming or browsing KiwiFarms. I finally submitted it at 4:17pm and then got to work on the final revision plan, which was only supposed to take 1 page double spaced. I delayed so much that I got it done at 7:02pm. I decided to walk to a restaurant to order lemon scampi for dinner. On the walk I spotted a monkey plush with velcro hands that was dressed in a pirates’ uniform with a pirate captain’s hat. I thought someone might have thrown it away but it was surprisingly clean so I left it. I ate and then walked back to still see it there. I took it and then got home to take a picture of it:

As for the rest of the day, I just studied a little bit more for my algorithms final, took a shower, and went to sleep.

I had a Plush Like This minus the pirate hat when I was a kid they were fun to play with

May 19th, 2026: Study day. I woke up at 6:45am and had cereal plus finished the last of my creamer for my coffee. The bus ride there was normal with the Indian lady being present. I got in and clocked in to first help with someone logging into their old computer, next Mrauku with unlocking his programming, I got an update from the main branch which I merged onto my branch, which sadly caused it to go back to not working anymore, I got it back working by the end of the day. At 11:51am, the website guy walked past my desk to talk with Nailisi and started off by singing Telephone by Lady Gaga. I went to the meat store to buy a 4 pack of sausages for lunch, eating them at a secluded bench. I got back and then clocked out at 1:00pm. The bus I took to the library today and went to get a Rockstar energy drink. I first sorted all the papers crammed into my backpack based on if they were for algorithms or another class. I then went through the practice questions for the final exam which I didn’t complete last Wednesday. I did all of them except Dijkstra’s algorithm. After like an hour there, I walked to the Catholic center and sat down to write in my blog. Gina was here to help cook and the Honduran plus Markus’ brother were here. The Honduran has a girlfriend now and I cleaned up around the place. Lewis’ ex-girlfriend and Magdalene came over plus Luigi, I vacuumed while they were out there. I eventually went out to talk with Markus’ brother and Agaw, she said she loved the dance. Eventually Agaw dozed off for some reason and I grabbed one of the outside chairs and pretended I was going to smash her with it. Agaw woke up and asked:
“What are you even doing?”
I just started laughing and told her what I was trying. I went down into the chapel and spotted Mahdi talking to a new guy who hadn’t been to mass before about it. I checked the readings for today and decided to let someone else do it for the mass. I walked out and then upstairs for a bit and one of Nikki’s roommates was there. I congratulated Sixes’ friend on his brother being ordained but he told me that’s actually his cousin. I walked past Telemachus redpilling the new guy on the Jews and how they actually hate Christians. I went down to pray until it was time for mass. Mahdi sat next to me with Telemachus and the new guy sitting in front of me. Others there included Alley, Markus, Jade, Upsilon, Frociaggine, Quinci, Amethyst, Elijah, Angela’s friend, Gabirella, Magdalus, and others. Overall less crowded than usual. For the homily, the priest talked about a relative taking a ton of pictures of the sunset ever since he moved to Florida 10 years ago, totaling above 70,000 pictures on his phone. I went back upstairs after mass was done and stood outside for announcements including that Gabriella and Magdalus leaving once the school year was done. I got in line for the tacos and was served by Nikki’s roommate and got a slice of cake from Gina. I ate outside with the others then went back in for more. I spotted Quinci sitting with Magdalene. Just as I was leaving, Hedelweis arrived talking with Markus and Markus’ brother, I looked at her and she at me which made me disgusted. I walked home and then got in to write more but not study. My desktop is back to not booting except for when in “safe mode” where safe mode with networking doesn’t actually allow WiFi. I took a shower and went to sleep at like 11:10am after arranging a baseball game date with another woman besides Alise.
