May 24th, 2026: Pentecost. I woke up at 8:00am and had cereal for breakfast plus brewed myself some coffee to go with. I played more OpenFronts.io and only won 1 game. I got dressed in my yellow and white button-up with my red trumpet tie, my red velvet jacket, and black dress pants. I walked over to get there at roughly 10:03am, I tried entering through the normal door but that was locked, the upper door was open thankfully. Nobody else was here but when I went downstairs, Father Aquinas was there to open the door, and nobody else. I prayed for a while and went up to the lectern to see what the readings were, a few more people came in like the Honduran’s mother, sister, and father, Markus’ brother, Mahdi, a family of 3 with a daughter I’d estimate to be 20, A family of 4 with two young boys, and 2 other guys. I got Mahdi to do the second reading and then did the lighting of the candles: the two on the tabernacle, the four on the altar, the one next to the ambo/lectern, the 5 around the statue of St. Mary, and the 1 in front of the statue of St. Joseph. We did the introduction to the mass and when we first went up, I began to read Acts 2:1-11:
☛1 When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.
☛2 And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
☛3 And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them.
☛4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
☛5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.
☛6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
☛7 And they were amazed and wondered, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
☛8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?
☛9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
☛10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
☛11 Cretans and Arabians, we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”
And the spoken psalm, Psalms 104:1, 24, 29-31, 34:
>Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
☛1 Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, thou art very great! Thou art clothed with honor and majesty,
☛24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom hast thou made them all; the earth is full of thy creatures.
>Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
☛29 When thou hidest thy face, they are dismayed; when thou takest away their breath, they die and return to their dust.
☛30 When thou sendest forth thy Spirit, they are created; and thou renewest the face of the ground.
>Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.
☛31 May the glory of the LORD endure for ever, may the LORD rejoice in his works, ☛34 May my meditation be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.
Then Mahdi went up to do the second reading, then there was the homily which I found quite normal. There was no collection of the gifts but we went up to receive the Eucharist. I went out and talked with Markus’ brother, Mahdi, and The Honduran. Apparently the Honduran’s sister was moving some stuff and her parents were there to help. I walked back home and on the way this old lady and her husband pulled by and said:
“By the way we just wanted to compliment your outfit, it’s super good!”
I thanked them then got home. I had more of the black packaging ramen with an egg and cut up celery while I continued to play OpenFronts.io. I watched part of season 1 episode 2 of Gen V but thought I might get walked in on by my roommate during a disgusting scene but no it was the person across the hall. I eventually got tired of staying inside in the same room all the time so I went out and went on a walk in the nearby part. At 6:22pm, I encountered Luigi on my walk and talked for like a minute before continuing. I did my laps before getting back and then not having dinner, taking a shower, and going to sleep late.
