Have you tried using magic wand to select only one part at a time meaning you can sharply shade just one part without bleed?
Ofcourse for the eyes it's supposed to bloom

One time I had a dream where there was a certain part of it where there was this dark yellow warm lighting.

this image is the most similar to it except the color was not as intense, the entire room in general was "lighter", and it was just a plain room with a lamp. It reminded me of how my old apartment looked when I was 5-6 years old. You should try replicating it.

@ecstasy works good with linework/traced but i imagine if you shape out the unshaded pieces per color first and also in different layers that it would work really well
