We've seen a couple times now where people demand that you boringify the site and then complain because it's dead. I think the biggest mistake you've made as an admin is even slightly entertaining the idea that people who don't break the rules should be banned because some below average users start leaking when they see them. brapsil, hwabag~ and ayayayay should never have been banned.
Also I'm really surprised to hear that _account had a problem with baqqrih. They seemed like very similar kinds of people.

It's more complicated and it's a thin balance where I have to make sure people like ayayayayay don't end up as the face of the Shroom like how Terrycrews and Jimbo were the face of the Schlog. If people join just for drama then there wouldn't be genuine discussions happening because people would just log in to milk the cattle for keks. If it's too boring then people will get demotivated and gravitate to other things for entertainment since discussions are really slow and most people have ADHD. I don't want either sides of the spectrum to entirely dominant because it is possible to have the best of both worlds somehow

Probably because I'm not omniscient and know what every user likes or dislikes. I only hear the loudest users instead of what the majority thinks so it ends up skewing my judgement in favor of complaincaca
