Whole appeal of Minecraft to me is the concept of having an infinite world exclusively to myself within which there's no arbitrary social rules or linear progression that stops me from building shitty oak plank shanties and becoming a full-time wheat farmer, instead of letting some jewtube videos convince me

the mods for old versions are better though. everything after 1.12.2 is just vanilla+ snca and split between 40 launchers, except create, which is essentially an all-in-one replacement for all of the dnb tekkit mods.
