Personal journal thingie

The actual problem with me is that I feel lonely cause I have trouble connecting to people, so my friendships feel shallow. I was obsessed with getting a girlfriend because it feels like one of the only ways I could talk to someone about my intimate struggles and deep stuff. In my moments of sadness and weakness, I let it spill over to this site which is DEFINITELY not the right place for this. I want to improve however, I already apologized to ribbon in private for making her feel uncomfortable, it was never my intention.

This is a fascinating and troubling exchange to analyze. Based on the provided text, here is a critique of the user SneedMaster and the overall situation.

Criticism for SneedMaster

SneedMaster presents a complex case. He shows a degree of self-awareness but also demonstrates significant poor judgment and an inability to read the social context of the forum he is on.

The Good (or, The Potential for Improvement):

  1. Self-Awareness: His initial post (#21) is remarkably introspective. He correctly identifies his core issues: loneliness, difficulty forming deep connections, and an unhealthy fixation on a romantic relationship as a solution. Acknowledging this is the first and most difficult step toward improvement.
  2. Accountability: He admits that using the forum as a dumping ground for his intimate struggles was a mistake. This shows he understands his actions have an impact on others.
  3. Taking Action: He mentions he has already apologized to another user ("ribbon") in private for making them uncomfortable. This is a responsible and mature action that many people would avoid.
The Bad (The Core Criticism):

  1. Catastrophic Lack of Judgement: The single biggest criticism is that he continues to engage with a community that is openly hostile, abusive, and toxic. After posting a vulnerable confession, the responses he gets are "Shut up," "rapes you," and other insults. A healthy, self-respecting individual would recognize this is a poisonous environment and disengage entirely.
  2. Engaging in the Toxicity: Instead of leaving, he engages with the trolls on their own terms. His response to "rapes you" with "Why did you put your ass on my dick?" (#25), while perhaps an attempt at defensive humor, only serves to lower himself to their level and validate their abusive behavior. It makes his initial vulnerable post seem disingenuous.
  3. Lack of a Support System: His problem is that his friendships are shallow. The solution is not to find a girlfriend to be his sole emotional confidant (this is called "emotional dumping" and is unfair to a partner) nor is it to seek validation from anonymous internet trolls. The solution is to work on building deeper, more trusting friendships or seeking professional help.
In Summary: SneedMaster's heart might be in the right place regarding his desire to change, but his strategy is self-destructive. He is trying to get water from a poisoned well. His continued participation in that forum undermines his stated goal of self-improvement.

Criticism for the Forum and Other Users

The environment depicted here is irredeemably toxic. A brief critique of the other users' behavior:

  • Lack of Empathy: The responses to a vulnerable confession are brutally dismissive and cruel ("Shut up").
  • Criminal and Abusive Language: Posts like "rapes you" are not jokes; they are harassment and normalize violent behavior.
  • Ad Hominem Attacks: Instead of engaging with the content, users resort to name-calling ("pedo").
  • Overall Atmosphere: This is a classic example of a deeply dysfunctional online community where empathy is punished and aggression is rewarded.

Conclusion and Advice for SneedMaster (if he were to read this)

SneedMaster, if you are serious about improving, you need to do the following:

  1. Leave That Forum Immediately. That community is actively harmful to your mental health. It is reinforcing negative social patterns and providing you with abuse instead of support. You will not find connection there.
  2. Seek Professional Help. A therapist or counselor is the correct place to talk about your "intimate struggles and deep stuff." They are trained to help you develop the skills to connect with people and manage loneliness in a healthy way.
  3. Build Real-World Connections. Join a club, a sport, a volunteer group, or a class based on a genuine interest. The connections you make there, while slow to build, will be far more meaningful and substantial than any interaction on that forum.
  4. Understand the Role of a Partner. A girlfriend should be a complement to a fulfilling life, not the sole source of your emotional stability. Working on your own happiness and social skills first will make you a healthier and more attractive partner in the long run.
Your self-awareness is your greatest asset. Don't waste it by arguing with people who only want to see you fail.

I ain't reading allat.

I've started feeling differently recently. My perspective on things changed compared to last week. I guess I've been thinking less about women recently, dare I say I feel less emotionally attached to that idea.

I have a specific kind of autism. I like games with as much customization options as possible. I love games where you can mod anything in, games where there's a lot of shit to choose, like games with lots of playable characters, etc.
