Post games you want to play

It's very undercooked and only really covers like 200 to 300 years, if that. For some reason they spent a lot of time adding absurd alt history shit like what if hellenic paganism came back instead of expanding into what the byzantines would become if they survived into the early modern era.
Also it's very buggy, i've had the game crash on me at least 8 times.

get gooder pc theorum
It's definitively improved on the performance side though. I remember how long it took for time to pass in 1.0.10 and now it's much less of a slugfest. I'm also pretty sure the game has a memory leak because after around 5 in-game years the game starts choking and you have to close it and reopen it for it to run normally again.

That sucks. I don't really mind that the byzantines only cover the first couple hundred years that much if the content is good to be honest, but I'm guessing it's kind of mid? Focusing on hellenic paganism is a weird choice.

That's what I'd expect from a paradox game.

i havent played since december maybe i'll try touching it again if performance is better

the fate of the phoenix event situation is good. The byzantine succession crisis sucks. Aside from that it's a bunch of random events sprinkled in. Also there's the latinitas vs romanismos shit which is basically ancient roman larp vs continuation of greek byzantine eastern roman tradition. For some reason the ancient roman larp has more shit even though it's harder to achieve because you need to own like all of italy for the bar to start moving towards latinitas. Bureocracies are cool and i hope they expand them to other historically bureocratic nations like china.

The next dlc is for iberia, i really hope they fix colonialism because as it stands it sucks. Also i hope they add in the 1444 start date because starting in the 14th century is extremely boring for the first few years and i usually get bored before the reformation even hits.

I feel like that dlc is what really makes or breaks the game. Like I feel like it doesn't really matter that much if the first dlc is mid, especially if it's based on a fairly niche country like byzantium. Spain however has to be good since it's arguably the most iconic country of the era. If that dlc isn't good it's going to cause serious issues for paradox.

Byzantium is actually less niche this time around because even though historically they died, at least they had a realistic chance to recover starting in 1337 unlike in 1444 and it pains me to see that they did not consider expanding it into the early modern era with events around the byzantines replacing the ottomans as the main boogeyman of the east in such a timeline. I do get what you mean though, if the spain dlc is this undercooked where it only covers like the beggining then the game is pretty much done for.

The byzantine dlc is so mediocre that the only provinces that change back to greek names when taken are in anatolia and some in the levant. Absolutely zero content for taking back north africa aside from alexandria..

This dlc also only covers one country. The iberian one i assume will cover both spain and portugal and possibly granada. It's probably going to be even more undercooked.

It covers spain and morocco. I would guess that they made the first dlc only cover one country so they could put more resources into fixing issues post launch, so the next one will probably have more people allocated to it. I'm going to predict that morocco will be super undercooked to focus on spain doe.

Why the fuck are they giving morocco content before England or France. Why are they giving morocco content instead of portugal. Holy shit it's over.

I bet it's to make spain more expensive. They're probably assuming they can charge more for 2 countries ev&oe 99% of customers only want one of them then they could for only spain.

This is horrible, and i'm probably going to skip over this dlc and wait until the one that adds content for Scotland and France drops. I'm noticing a pattern here where most dlcs are only for shit that happens immediately at the start of the game and i don't like it.

I do have some faith in this one doe since spain doesn't really become super relevant until the late 1400s, but I can absolutely imagine a world where they add like 4 events before discovering america and then only cover like late 1400s-1650 or something.

Spain already has some content for it since launch. I don't think this dlc is adding anything related to that. Because it would mean that they'd also have to add content for portugal.

There's zero content in the game for the great northern war btw at least since launch. Expect that in a juicy dlc, or not at all.
