Soyjaks have been dead as "memes" for a while, nowdays they are more like characters, similar to scps or backrooms entities. Nowadays, when a nuvariant gets made, nobody cares who it makes fun of, if anyone at all. They have become like wojaks or pepes, who are dress up dolls u use to darw into anything you want.

Yours or the average newdeity's opinion on what a soyjak is and what it's supposed to represent may differ greatly from the way I see it. At least the way I see it the meme is completely dead save for a few oldcaca holdouts on 4cuck and on Facebook of all places.

In a way soyjaks nowadays are kinda like a cargo cult. People just slap a soyjak on anything and call it sharty culture because it resembles and imitates the meme, even though at that point it has nothing to do with what it originally was about. None of this really matters though.

the main reason i still use the soysphere (the shroom in particular) is because of the people i've met here. i no longer really care about jakking, soy culture or whatever

i used to have a lot of ambition to make OC when i first joined the soysphere, specifically the booru. unfortunately i’m not the best at committing to projects and all that interest died off when i started realizing the degeneracy of the ‘ru. i know i’m technically not supposed to be a soyteen so i shouldn’t expect to feel welcomed, but as hard as i try to make light of things it just feels pointless. the creative atmosphere of the ‘ru seems to be dead. that said i think i might make something nice sometime when i’m free enough because i’m not gonna give this passion up entirely when it’s driven me up to this point. despite our differences i’ve made quite a few friends in the soysphere and i love you all very much. that’s what’s important to me
