In my short stint on other spaces during my departure, I could not note a single community online with the same potential as on here. I believe with all of my heart that this site is the only forum on the entire clearnet that holds any potential to be something bigger.

You can make as much OC as you'd like but your thread is still probably just going to die on page one with 5 replies or be derailed into the 500th goot thread (or something equally trite). This is why competitions and weekly events should be implemented centered on OC, as to avoid both listed issues. Make it something to celebrate that can spread off-site - and to refer again to my SomethingAwful analogy - like Photoshop Fridays. Good posts mean nothing when they're amongst waining numbers. We need to reel like-minded people in with these events and good posts to keep them coming back. This secures perpetual lifeblood in the site, and once again, something to look at in all time-frames fondly. If we do this carefully, we can practically curate a userbase of "perfect fits" if you will.
