shroom rpg thread

if it's about the soysphere as a whole
on the second thought, making every single splinter it's own location/chapter/whatfuckingever would be an overkill and would require extra effort (obviously) and actual knowledge of splinters to not make them seem bland and dummyed. i think adding references to other splinters (most notably the booru/broom) would be enough

the story could be about Frank waking up in his home finding a 'booru soldier telling him to get out the house because the house is now under control of the Soybooru Commonwealth and then Frank looks around and see that his hometown has now been colonized by the 'ru and they rename the Shroom to the "Bhroom" and it turns out Glueboy himself is in control of this entire operation and so Frank decides to get his revenge

I'm going for like a Fallout type of story

like every splinter has its own theme in each location
The Jarty - Overcrowded, smelly and dirty shithole
The Shemmy - Rotting town
The Swinny - Swedish Military Base and Refuge Camp
The Sharty - Large town that's rotting alot
The Bhroom - Modified town with alot of technology and security but is very corrupt
The Frog Pond - Water infested village, needs a boat to enter
that's all I can think of

moonmetropolis is way too irrelevant to be the main antagonist, i think the story should reflect the broom-shroom cold war more. broot as some kind of a conspirator to sabotage and usurpate the mushroom throne would be the perfect opportunity to make multiple endings where you either oppose him or side with him

The Shemmy - Rotting town
The shemmy is basically transnistria they're still keeping the larp alive but it's dead atp
The sharty is like any big city

I agree with this

the booru soldiers should look like this but more simpler

the inspirations for the locations could be the forum boards, specifically the clubhouse boards because they have comprehensive and easy topics to represent (like arts, literature, music, etc)
