Especially considering how sloppy some of the current approvers are with content as they seem more concerned with getting the next (You) than actually doing their job.

Human error happened, which can happen to anyone. And once an "incident" occurs, demoting whoever's responsible will not undo it. If you give a murderer the electric chair at the end of the day the victim is still dead.

the thing is that we have a surplus of people wanting to be approvers due to the orange name. these people are expendable and its not a loss to demote someone for unapproving a image since we can always just reapprove them.

Approvers aren't vetted thoughbeit. You just need to comment long enough on a residential IP to get approved and/or use the IRC.

It's closed forever, they fucking ruined the game. It should have been just don't starve but with multiplayer but they somehow managed to drag it out to a point where it feels like another game. That's bad.
