>Say I upload a picture of Goku or something and tag it with media:dragon_ball and character:goku, does that make sense?
why exactly is this needed?. what's the point in allowing shit thats not even related to site culture? the soyjak branding and requirement has been stretched really far, but at least it's stayed within the realm of plausibility for something to be called a soyjak or a caricature/wojak adjacent at the minimum. a meximutt isnt a soyboy but it's within the culture of country wars and racism that are staples of the 'sphere. gigachads and frogs are allowed as NAS because they are also principal to the site's ecosystem and posts. its already kind of tiring to open a post and see completely unrelated shitflinging over snca drama in the replies, but now imagine its fighting over something not even indirectly related to the site that you didn't even know existed because you hide NAS posts. if i wanted to post and discuss nerd shit or media unrelated to soyjaks, i would go to /mtv/ or /pol/ on the sharty.
>there appears to be a larger drive for people who want to create and art that is not soyjak related but want the community of the booru.
musdummy and the sharty jannies probably don't like this answer, but thats sort of the purpose of this site (as in the forum). already a great majority of namecaca from the 'ru also post on here. frankly i think the requirement of soyjaks force drawcaca to be more creative, i've experienced this myself trying to problem solve 'tosses. but if they are firm that they don't want to include 'jaks in their work but want the 'ru response, again, you can come here. if the intent really is "allowing art from community members that dont feature 'jaks" it doesn't change that with how broad that statement is, which is ripe to be exploited for attentionwhores and other bad actors.
If these are added, what stops the 'ru from just becoming a lower-traffic clone of some shit like danbooru with drama?
constraint produces culture, and when you remove the constraint, you remove the identity.
