You guys need to realize that every since the irc became a thing, the janny cabal has become gradually more and more irony poisoned and cacay. They have absolutely no principles anymore. Their only current objective is making people "seethe" cause they fell for the hunky meme too hard and now hate their own userbase. They only ban the bare minimum once it becomes a liability to them.
They won't ban foodist dogwhistles anymore cause simply don't care since larping as one makes people "seethe".

I think it happened as a result of the leadership bunkering up inside private discords while taking decisions completely disconnected from the userbase. It was a gradual process where admins got high off their own farts while ignoring what the users thought about any changes or rules(or lack of thereof). I think we could avoid that fate here by asking for user opinions and suggestions more often before implementing changes, even making it a core rule of the site even. I feel like the forum layout lends itself to such a system better than an imageboard anyways.
