its not really that bad. admins are just trying to interact with the community and try new things. its like an antithesis of how 4chan is a rotting noob that gets no updates.

in fact, having changes allows for innovation. we shall see what happens
It's the right idea. But the execution sucks ass 99.9% of the time.
The anniversary event for example got dragged out to a point where the site was literally unusable.
They feel very disconnected from the userbase, and every time genuine criticism about them is brought out the yellow noob just brushes it off and does it again even harder.

/pol/ is gemmy. But part of the reason why i'm also in retreat from posting is because of the constant site-wide affecting bullshit disguised as events musdummy comes up with every week. I really want him gone. That and soycords apparently appearing again just kind of frustrated me.
if you restrict yourself to only (and I mean only) using hobby boards, there is probably a very VERY high chance you will never know there was some "spronglegramcordpedoes" PPH boost conflict, I know this because in my earliest days on the site, when /tech/ was locked I had no idea what happened at all, one day my board on this site was just locked, I had no idea what happened, I would come back and check if it was unlocked for days, until it was. Ofc by that time I moved to /raid/. Besides supersage and a couple of events (like that weird name supersage shit) you can definitely go without knowing any of this shit.

you need to find a good group of hobby boards, and stick to them mainly. Think about it, if you regularly go to a dumpster more often then a gem and see trash, you'll quickly want to leave, just prefer the gems over the coal and apply that to boards.
this is why [ int / pol ] [ a / an / asp / biz / mtv / r9k / tech / v / x ] usually succeed. they are focused on interests that you actually want to share with others. its why /r9k/ is slowly starting to blow up for example

the admin 6 section was literally for 1 day so it wasnt even that bad imo. they worked hard on making neat concepts and id have to give credit to that. /soya/ was a massive DNB fail however [cry]

in /pol/ we were laughing at /soy/ because of this

shouldve went to /msp/ or /zellig/ or whatever. those boards were funny because /gem/ coaled it up
I just assumed they were noobbrim by the name. Like /qa/ noobhell. The fact that the three boards got the same janny account sounds very funny doe.

speaking of that, one thing I have worried about when it comes to possibly new hobby boards is them getting filled with spam and not gaining traction or an actual userbase because some shitflinger felt like it (i.e. /zarty/)
There used to be a rule against spam, i don't know why (((quote))) felt the need to remove it.

the difference between real hobby boards and snca meme boards like /zellig/ is that real hobby boards get you banned for rule 5 if you spam them

proof for that?

it was /zellig/ right?
Giga memory.gif
>/zellig/

the people spamming arent botting though. its usually just 1-2 guys with email:nonoko and a VPN.

id assume that the admins know a lot more about it than us. otherwise we wouldve seen r4 bans more often.
