There was always a bit of a branoob undercurrent though after the sharty became more mainstream and people who were genuine clittycels started using the site in bigger numbers during the doll and froot eras. They were the group I was the most worried would take over which is exactly what happened because of primarily /pol/ and /a/. I think the vast majority of people who really pushed back against branoobs have left also now.

I honestly believed it was gonna be taken over by autistic children forcing their slop media interests under the guise of irony and attentionwhoring namecaca drama first. But i was wrong.

/mtv/ is probably the perfect /soy/ alternative, it has anti-spam and it is a miscellanious board, meaning anything could be posted. Only problem is soydueling is probably not allowed due to aforementioned anti-spam rules.
