The Bay (2012)

I was recommended this flick by a friend since it supposedly fit my favorite genre of movie, which is mass death.

It did that part amazingly, and it being a Found Footage style of film made it so much better, despite my first initial thoughts.

Its plot is believable and really sounds like something that could happen.

This show is weirdly comfy at times.
It's a very chill apocalypse, "everybody" is still maintaining society, so the main character gets to fuck around and have some fun instead of the typical "survival" scenario.
Kind of reminds me of that episode of My Name Is Earl where they think the world ended and they take over the Walmart (that was my dream as a kid)
Show is a bit quirky chungus at times, but it's bearable.

Was THIS CLOSE to seeing Rhea Seehorn's boobies and they cucked me. Fuck Pluribus and fuck Vince

Season finale was meh. The big reveal was some shit anyone paying attention would have realized several episodes before, and the "major conflict" of the last two episodes was cheap and underdeveloped. Still, it was enough to make me excited for the next season, but it almost felt like an after thought ending. Like they intended to get 12 episodes instead of 9 and condensed the story.

Gremlins 1 and 2 were appropriate Christmas viewing for my family and friends so I put both on.

Haven’t rewatched either in a while and it’s obvious how xenophobic and anti-Chinese both movies are. From a World War II vet who hates foreign things getting (almost) ran over by inherently foreign creatures (the gremlins) riding an American made tractor, to an obviously Jewish woman being killed by the gremlins, it’s just a strange franchise overall.

Fun for kids if you skipped the scene of the girl saying that her dad dressed up as Santa died by breaking his neck down the chimney.

I didn’t skip the scene and little cousin cried.
