what is the best linux or BSD distro in your opinion?

[Magickalss]

i use cachyOS on my desktop and gentoo on my laptop but i want to hear other people's opinion on what's the best distro

No such thing as a "best" distro. They all serve different subjectively useful purposes and thus any answer you will get will only serve the poster who recommended it the best. If you want the best stable and "modern" desktop GNU/Linux or BSD from an objective standpoint - without getting pedantic with SystemD/Wayland drama cacaotry - I'd tell you Debian and FreeBSD.

The best OS is on-metal ASIC firmware
