Metacognition. Being able to hear your thoughts in your mind, and - at the more advanced levels - be able to think upon those thoughts (ie. why am I thinking this, what would happen if I thought about this). Only like 25% of the population is able to do the last two levels and it's usually directly correlated with IQ and/or autism, I think I've read that 110 IQ and higher can metacognize by default without training: it's trainable.I understand the bottom map is about one's mental visual comphrension, but what is the map on the left all about? Whether or not you have intrusive thoughts or voices in your head?
So an inner monologue plus critical thinking and the ability to comprehend?Metacognition. Yea, I get it now.Though it might seem like a virtue, it can be a double edged sword as you can play out a scenario in your head hundreds of times without before an action is taken - leading to the action never taking place in the first place. This has cost me years of suffering
I can read any post in any voice I want in my head. I'm currently reading this in Jerry Seinfeld's voice, further escalating the volume of his voice until he has to take a breather before proceeding to read the last few words in a mild tone similar to where he was in the beginning.I can't understand the y-axis but I'm a
5 on the apple scale and my internal monolog is a constant stream of conversations about my past, present, and future and also rape jokes.
I read through this and immediately changed the voice in my head as you added details. Feelsgood.I can read any post in any voice I want in my head.
