Deadpool is the only reason I care about capeshit. I got hyped for the movie and read the comics (my first superhero comic ever).
I thought it was great how tragic Deadpool was in the comics, and then I watched the movie and realized just how hard marvel rapes and ruins their IPs.

Consumers of capeshit have wholly surrendered their lives to the spectacle. This act is called the illusion of participation. They feel as if they're apart of something by engaging with this content, but they're not actually doing anything other than generating more revenue for pedophile executives. The spectacle thrives on people who let cheering for images stand in for their actual reality. It feeds them endless amounts of this shit and calls it a "cultural moment", while the passive subject's only real role is to pay. I remember when grown-ass men were chimping out over Captain America holding some hammer a few years ago.
