We literally just got 45+ new banners yesterday. We do get a steady flow of OC, but it's rarely anything major, mostly disposable (in the case of Viggle chow) and gets buried in threads. Take the Halfbrick Massacre edits for example, that was last month and all except one are buried under a thousand pages in the random thoughts thread.

We've our own slow-burned culture that takes a background focus to simple discussion between friends and acquaintances, rarely focused on soyjaks or the 'sphere beyond forum namesake and /cw/. As I stated earlier today, this forum is insulated.

Because we shouldn't exist, means we do exist. In short, I've opted to call us a "trans forum."

You know how brantsteele lets you add custom events? I think it would be cool if we could suggest our own events and then they got used in the simulation but maybe that’s too difficult.

The Shroom has never really even been like this. All of the memes on this website are inorganic and forced. The only things that aren't are remnants of discord.blog and even those things are dying. When was the last time you ever saw someone spam elephant shitting?

Joking about "haha, Goot is a gooner" for the 1000th time while chatting about mundane topics isn't fun.

There isn't much to this website's culture beyond that. It is just that through aging and maturing we have seen that simple fact. Our oldest cultural meme is MoonMetropolis. The problem with this in a weird sense is that there isn't any thing of substance created out of it. It's like what happened with the booru. Sure maybe shitflinging was fun for a year but look at the effects of it. The rotting clearly travels back to what was the cause of it in the beginning. Which in the booru's case is countrywars.
Compare that with the Chaddy the entire OC is based on worldbuilding like DNBtopia and Chelonia. And with the Chaddy the entire website's culture is OC. This website doesn't have that. OC is only made by autists who are pouring way to much time into a dying website with lack of substance. All of the OC is focused on namecaca and whatever meme is being forced out of them, the OC is being made of shallow and toxic medium. The Chaddy's culture is able to thrive because there is a deeper substance to it. Maybe forums truly are an inferior format. Or maybe that one shiwi user was correct when he said imageboard culture cannot format well on forum format.

i'd say i know a solution to most of the problems but honestly no. not even raiding, oc competitions or getting rid of the schlog identity would help because the userbase is simply too old and passive
