Why live if you're an Atheist?

Speaking of which, I feel like the OP message is just unfiltered nihilism rather than atheism alone. But I am curious: what gives an atheist's life meaning and purpose if they believe they were created without reason, by chance, by the universe, and are doomed to have their existence permanently done for, with no chance of an afterlife?
Why would existence be finite? If you were created by chance, then there's a chance you'll exist in some form again.

That's if you believe in reincarnation, and to me, it sounds silly to think that cats could be recycled into humans, or humans into moths. Plus, why would one believe their soul or whatever was chosen by the universe to exist as the most intelligent life form (according to humans)?

You weren't chosen to exist as a human, it's purely chance. Humans are just one of the only species that can comprehend their existence to such a degree. It's called the anthropic principle.

you're telling me that if I died I could be reincarnated as a stupid ant?

fuck this dummyed hindu nonsense kys poopjeet
I don't believe in the concept of the soul or Hinduism. I don't really believe in reincarnation in the traditional sense. I don't think it's "you" per se that's reincarnated, just that I think it's very unlikely that consciousness would only arise one time on such an expansive scale. It's likely the brain itself can develop seperate consciousness, which has been observed in split-brain patients.

you just think that existence is too short for us to only have one life?

Actually you do need the Church
Sola Scriptura is one of the most deadly heresies that millions of Christians are brain dead enough to believe
Even if you believe in Sola Scriptura, the Bible constantly talks about believers gathering together and praying (Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:42, Matthew 18:20)
>HERESY IS ANYTHING I DON'T LIKE
heresy is the "literally Claus" of the religious world. Sure it's nice to gather and pray, but when these places are making tons of tax-free money off the poor and having scandals where they fuck children I start to take it a little less seriously.

Heresy is anything that goes against the traditional teachings of Christianity
Going to Church and taking the Sacraments is essential
And before you tell me
>BUT DA EUCHARIST IS SYMBOLIC!!!!!! Christ himself said "This is my body" and "This is my blood"
Sure it's nice to gather and pray,
It's not just about gathering and praying, it's about partaking in the Sacraments, taking the Body and Blood of Jesus but when these places are making tons of tax-free money off the poor

The only way Churches make money is through donations. If someone is in a financially difficult situation nobody is pointing a gun to their head forcing them to donate to their Church
and having scandals where they fuck children I start to take it a little less seriously.
Not a Catholic but the Catholic Church has still officially responded to this issue, by condemning Bishops who had committed these horrible atrocities
Most Bishops responsible for such acts were laicized and the Church took victims seriously rather than dismissing them

it ends eventually but it still has meaning
Not really. If your consciousness is annihilated upon death, then that retroactively removes all meaning of your existence.

Existence would be finite and nonexistence would be infinite. Something finite is literally nothing compared to something infinite. Your life is multiplied by zero and turned into meaningless nothingness.
