I don't believe in a "heaven", but I believe people's spirits, who they are, are still alive, even in death.
And it makes sense because people report feeling the presence of dead relatives; some see these apparitions, or at least know when they're around. Now, this could be a case where it's demons masquerading as loved ones who have passed on, that is, if you believe in demons, but I choose not to believe that, because I'd rather believe that they are the real thing and not a ghoulish deception manifested by some evil entity.
There's definitely something there; people are still alive, even in death. It's just unclear what's actually there. Wherever 'there' is.

I pray reincarnation isn't real
This, to me, is worse than if there was nothing there at all. I'd rather cease to exist than to live somebody else's life with somebody else's family that is not my own.

Yea, but I don't really understand it. I think it's a peaceful and blissful afterlife, but I can't imagine me as myself existing in it.
I guess I picture it more as reuniting with God as one being, instead of being myself and remembering my life on earth.
It's troubling and I don't want to let go of my memories, but I don't care. Best case scenario I'm right and I won't care about leaving it behind, worst case I'm wrong and I die thinking there's something more.
