April 6th, 2026: Easter Monday today. I woke up and finished off my cereal for breakfast, brushing my teeth and grabbing the 2 boxes of cookies I took to work. I took the bus and got hissed at by a Canadian goose while another Canadian goose was eating near broken glass in the grass; I tried to get the eater away but the other one hissed at me. I went inside and put my stuff in the break room. I then got sat down for the meeting at 9:01pm, here’s what I recorded:
“...Continue to monitor the funding. For now, we continue to be stable. If you do have any concerns, though, going forward on that, feel free to ask here, because your question is probably the same that somebody else has, or if you're more comfortable, you can talk to your manager. And if needed, the Latinx lady or I could actually meet with you and your manager as well to address any kind of specific concerns you may have, that kind of thing. So just keep that in mind. Continue to think about what else you can do for the clients. That gives us ideas for any fee for services. If you're working on one of those, continue to work with your manager to refine what kind of actions we can do. I think our next step there in the next few months is to really concentrate on marketing, finding out what the needs are that could actually generate revenue, that type of thing. So I'll be looking at that as well. I might get some external help on that, I might not. It depends on what our needs are there. So this week I'm going to be in and out of the office. Again, some calls that might require me to be off-site, but I'll always be available by phone, and my calendar is up to date as possible for major meetings. There's only one conflict of meetings for me this week, and that's the [4 letter acronym] meeting and the Mark meeting. So, I'll be picking which one I go to on that. So, any questions? Keep up the nice work. We just need to focus and take care of our clients and think positive on what we can do to help our clients deal with these times. And I think we should try to figure out some way to run with our ideas that we talked about last week with Refugee Day on June 20th. There's going to be things at the [censored] Sculpture Garden again. I've been asked to talk at the city hall, so I'll do that. But we should try to make it something that is visible. And remember, your actions speak louder than words. So if you really feel the need to take a stand, take a stand through your actions, and they're definitely heard. We're very visible and we're very sreal womang here. So just stay the course there. The Latinx lady?” - The CEO
“Good morning. Happy Monday.” - the Latinx Lady
“Morning.” - The CEO
I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend, holiday on Friday, so hopefully everybody got some rest. This week, [clears throat] all my financials report are due tomorrow, so I'm going to start working on them today, especially the [3 letter acronym] FY25 is closing as of March 31st, so we have to do quarterly reports for that, and then wrap up [3 letter acronym] FY25. So you are doing case notes on those, [clears throat] or any type of financial information, make sure all the documents are there. We're just basically going to close [3 letter acronym]. And the rest of the [5 letter acronym] reports are due tomorrow, so I'll be getting those in hopefully later today. I'm off Thursday and Friday. I'll be driving to Ohio for my son's soccer tournament, so I'll be there the whole weekend. So if you need anything from me, let me know. I did purchase some of the cleaning supplies. They're back here. So as you can read in my email this week and then the following week, we are going to do clean up. So when you have a chance, you want to just grab some of the towels or whatever you guys need, let me know. [clears throat] We hope to get everything ready for the April 20th when we have the visit. So on my email, I sent it as a due date for April 14th. So again, if you guys need anything, let me know. Mauer will be coming in later today. He's at a doctor's appointment. The Polish lady is out sick, so you need anything from her, let me know. Last week, we also had [phone ringing] meetings here in the office, working on finalizing the gala stuff with the Polish lady and guy. So hopefully we can get the stuff, the invite soon. This is going to be a fundraiser event for [company], so it's not like the holiday party where we can invite everybody and IW pays. So if you do have chance to buy a ticket or you want to give us names for who can sponsor this event, all the money collected is basically coming back to the institute. So guy and the Polish lady are working on getting the final details for that. Within that, we're going to be doing a silent auction, maybe also some raffles. So again, if you have anybody that can donate for these two items, let us know. We can send them the information to have them participate. Finally got Zach A’s TV [chuckles] last Saturday in his office…” - the Latinx Lady
[laughter]
I did move some tables around, so I did ask the directors to let me know that's what they would like there, or they want other ideas just to let me know. But, yeah, we put that one finally in, and then I bought the TV for the job fair raffle. So it's in Zach A’s office. And the other one, we can find storage for the other one that you have there. Questions? Thanks.” - The Latinx lady
“Do we need to request time off for last Friday? Yes. So, I was going to jump into that. We've got a couple people told me that they cannot put the holiday in, so I have to go back in the system and figure out what is happening. So it should go as a holiday, eight hours paid holiday. So I'll try to fix it. It seems like it just put the eight hours into our [coughing] vacation- ... thing.” - Lillehammer
“Yeah, not under vacation. I think I put it under holiday.” - The Latinx lady
“Well, I was saying in that grouping, but under holiday.” - Lillehammer
“Yeah.” - The Latinx lady
“Because it's saying we don't have it.”- Lillehammer
“So I have to go and see how is that happening. Because I think before, you guys were able to put the holiday, but there were no hours deducted, so somehow when this new year came in, there was a cap for it or a zero balance for everybody. So I have to go in the system and then tell the system, "Hey, they have 10 holidays, 80 hours total," and then you guys start deducting from there. So I'll send an email once I figure that one out. [clears throat] I also started working with HR or Bamboo HR, our hopefully our new system for all the benefits combined for [4 letter acronym] and benefits, tracking all the trainings. So I did my introduction call last week. I'm going to be having a meeting next week, and hopefully everything will be launched on May 1st. They said usually it's four weeks to six weeks. I say, ‘I don't have time. It has to be May 1st.’ So I'll be working in my end to put everything up. The good thing with QuickBooks, I have all your info there, so tracking all the hours payroll will still continue go through QuickBooks, but then you will have access to a platform where you will see your 401[k] benefits, who to contact, when he's coming. I already have him on some days to come to here to the office. So right now, we're saying probably twice a year. Who's our medical provider, where to call, who has the vision, who has life insurance. All the paperwork is going to be in one place. So all the trainings that you take throughout the year with Antec right now, any other trainings, there will be a site as well for you to upload all that information. So, I'm very excited for that because sometimes we run all over when they ask us for that, so hopefully everything will be there. Questions? I think that's all I have. Thank you for sending your reimbursements on time. Mauer is working on it. We had to change the cost allocation, so that put us behind a little bit, but I think he's working on it, and we will be able to bill later today. Yeah. Thank you. Lillehammer?”- The Latinx lady
