I can't wrap my head around why nearly every modern smartphone producer insists on putting more than 6GB of RAM into their phones. What is the usecase beyond justifying their products costing $499.99 plus tax? I understand Android isn't as lean as it used to be and bloat is the norm nowadays, but even with all that, light-use rarely requires more than 3GB.

its when iphone 6s doesn't let you use youtube because "you can't get the required updates because your phone is too old"
But you can just click "play on youtube" on web and you magically require no updates and its fine.
I'm never buing a new phone I've been using this iphone for 10 years

The experience is so shitty, you can't even disable the shiteness on android, you need a whole ass custom Rom so the os can stop bitching to you about some "security" shit, like noob is my phone not updating wont prevent it from running smoothly, because updating seems to just make the phones slower with all the liarbloat they add to the os every point release
And when I go to install apps outside of the playstore it gets a huge ass warning boner about how non google le unsafe, evendoe installing apps from softonic is safer than the playstore and always has been

Display resolutions higher than 1080p are completely unnecessary for phones and manufacturers only use them to increase the price.

i never understood the need for a huge phone, if you want to watch something on a bigger screen then theres like ipads, laptops, computers and tv’s. Phones should be convenient to carry around and simple, idk why there should be a need to have a phone that can run 80gb games in 240fps

Past 1080p it surpasses the angular resolution of the human eye at normal screen distances
It gives maybe only minimal improvements to text clarity?
