despite me agreeing on humans needing to be less physically attached to a lot of stuff. i dont think there would even be a goal to make or observe art if we did not have any physical attachment. there's a grave difference between physical obsession and enjoyment in something tangible such as drugs or most commonly noobweed. having these physical attachments help in the creation of art as we humans need something to distract us with. art is an expression of our experiences or simply fiction that resides in our imagination, but at the end of the day art resides more in experiences that we have lived as beings.I belive that pushing ascetism (= having less physical attachments) is good for the future because main problems in our world comes from people desiring something in a physical form. The more ascetic people are the more they would want to dedicate themselfs for pure things which are enjoying making or observing art. I think this is our ultimate goal to get stripped away from anything physical to become like pure intelligence entity that recives pure form of enjoyment in either creation or observation of creations.
Tho for now in your local life recreational drug use won't give you any negatives if you do it right like you said, but it just pushes away the goal basically.
either way there's a lot of cases where drugs (again most commonly noobweed) has helped in the act of art creation, and so have the sorrows of being addicted to other substances. because art can display very much every expression and emotion. and thats why we humans enjoy it
