March 30th, 2026: The last Monday of the month. I was woken up at 5:30am by my roommate James, but I went back to sleep and woke up at 6:45am. had oatmeal for breakfast with honey and cinnamon. I brewed myself coffee and then went to the bus stop. I was let in and then got tea before clocking in at 8:29am, then sitting down for the meeting at 9:00am, here’s a lot of what I recorded:
“It was the end of March one week, and we're done with quarter one of 2026.” - The Latinx lady
[clapping]
“... The Polish lady’s back all the way from the other side.” - The Latinx lady
[laughs]
“So, so thank you all for being here. I know we have a lot of people also out today for vacation. I know spring break for the public schools also started this week. So that's what's going on. But, um, I'll start with my reporting if you don't mind...” - The Latinx lady
“Sure.” - The CEO
“As I mentioned, we have back-to-back meetings today, which I don't know how we're gonna fit all of them. Um, I'll be here until Thursday. As you know, we have off on Friday for Good Friday, part of the holidays for [company]. Um, I have meetings all day today. I'm still kinda working on prepping a lot of stuff for the auditors. They may come next week, but we're still working on that. Um, I also have a United Ethnic Festivals meeting this afternoon. It's starting at five thirty. So I'll be at the Polish center this afternoon, uh, until 8:00pm. Um, more meetings this week, but, uh, basically catching up and then, um, working on a lot of the financial stuff. Uh, we do receive the MOUs for-- we receive back the MOUs for [expunged], so I'll be working with Lillehammer and the team to make sure we are all set with moving those forward. Uh, that was very, very good news, so, uh, let's continue helping all of those clients that have a lot of, a lot of needs and legal. Um, last week we were also super busy. Um, Mauer and I, um, distributed computers at St. Augustine school. Uh, we were there doing a workshop for, uh, the parents. That day we saw a lot-- uh, we saw about sixteen parents, fifteen moms, one dad, which was very good to see. Um, most of them from Mexico, but we did, we did have one participant from Puerto Rico. So I gave a workshop on how to access email and how to access the Zoom meetings because everything now through the schools is via elecreal womanic. So I wanted to make sure that they have the tools and the access for, um, to support their students. So i- it went very well. And then also”on Saturday, we attended the Mexica Fiesta High School Student Forum. Kiana and the Indian lady were also there, and Mauer and myself were also there doing the laptop distribution. We distributed twenty laptops on that day. Uh, there were also other universities around, since it was more just informing the parents about where your, your kid wants to go to college, and then it was at [public university], um, [my university], [rich kid’s university]. I forgot the other one, but it was plenty information, and so, but we were there from 9:00am, um, um, up until 8:00pm So nice, nice event for Hispanic students. Hopefully, one of these days we can create one for our refugees. Um, we had one family that it was remise, so that was nice to see because it's close by the community. It's on 20th and Oklahoma. So hopefully, one of these days we can come out with something like that. I think there's a lot of disconnection in between when the kids wanna go ahead and do college, and then the parents, they don't have information. Sometimes you're like: ‘Oh, no, it's gonna cost a lot of money.’ Good thing that a lot of these students can apply for [5 letter acronym], but again, sometimes the parents, they don't know how to get to that point or what scholarships the universities provide. So, um, yeah, that's where we were there on, on Saturday, and then we distributed information about our legal services. A lot of people were very interested. They said that they have never heard about us, so hopefully, um, we can start getting to see them more. I think on my St. Augustine Prep message, I misspoke about the free consultations on Friday. So I will probably review that and then give information, uh, because Mauer later on told me, 'cause I was doing everything in Spanish, and then when I translated to Mauer, he's like, "They're not free." I said, "Okay, we just have to get back to them." We didn't have no flyers with us, so I, I told them that we were gonna get back to them and give them the right information. So they were very interested as well on hearing, um, about the consultations on Friday. So we might do another one in May. They were very-- the school coordinator was very interested to have another one, so we'll kind of see if we can fit another one in May. But so far, we have distributed three hundred and seventy? three hundred and ninety?” - The Latinx lady
“Three hundred and seventy.” - Mauer
“Three hundred and seventy laptops. So if any of your clients need a laptop, let Mauer know. We're still gonna have another order coming in. So good, good there. So I think that's my week. Lillehammer, this is your week, which is quite… Oh, yeah, and then last Thursday, Wednesday… ”
‘Wednesday” - Mauer
“...we also had a board meeting, a full board meeting. It, it went really well. It went, um, quick as well. We didn't have, uh, as much. But, um, after that meeting, uh, [Board member] came to the bank, and then they gave me authority to sign checks. So I don't know how good or bad is that, but I can now sign checks…” - The Latinx lady
[laughs]
“...which Yeilxáak is not available. I'm using more responsibility. But yeah, I think they just told us to wait probably a week so the signature gets in, in process, uh, and they can recognize my signature on checks that, um, we can-- we cut from here. So that was kinda like another step to get completed, so I was very happy. And thank you to Yeilxáak and the board of directors. Uh, we move forward on that. There is maybe another executive board meeting this week where we're trying to see 'cause we just had one, um, last week. So I'm trying to get a hold of a couple people to make sure if this is gonna happen or not. Just if it's happening, it's happening this Wednesday. Um, but we are also coordinating another one for Fresno [company]. We want to combine so they don't have to do many trips. So let me see. Questions? Hmm, we are also working on implementing a new platform for HR files. Um, we get a little disconnected when... Well, we are 38 people now, right? So [chuckles] it's kind of hard to track everybody's benefits and everybody's different time of, uh, hire dates. So Mauer, Mauer and I are working on a platform. It's called Bamboo HR. Maybe you have seen it, um, maybe you have seen commercials. Um, so it's a platform that everything, uh, puts everything together about benefits. So if this is, um, something that we will move forward, basically you get an email from us saying that you will register and then create username, password, and all your HR benefits will be in one place. So that application will kind of remind you, “It's, it's your one-year anniversary. Make sure you have this 401[k] form on file, otherwise I cannot open your 401[k] file, and we cannot put the two percent on ICT that it provides for you.’ So it's hard to keep reminding people. I know I sent, like, one message, I don't know, maybe last year at the end of the year, and then the form is attached. But later, that probably wasn't your one-year anniversary at that time, and then you will forget, I will forget because I don't have everybody's dates of when they joined. Um, so I feel like this type of, uh, platform software is gonna help us. Um, so any plan for the insurance will be there, any 401[k] paperwork, your vision, dental, medical, your, um, any other policies that we want to implement. Any trainings. Trainings is ki- kind of like a key for us 'cause for the ones that I've been working with Mocteo, we got requests from that he needed to update, um, their profile or, like, the absorb with everybody who participated in [5 letter acronym] to upload their trainings. And he was kinda like going around looking at our files. Um, sometimes we get these trainings from Antec. We take the training. They send us an email. Sometimes we forget to print the certificate, or if you guys print the certificate, sometimes it doesn't get to your HR folder. It's someplace, but it's just not the, kind of like a very good way to track. So trainings and then also performance, um, salary compensation increases, so that also will be tracked in the platform. Um, hopefully in the next week or so we get things moving. Questions? Suggestions about benefits, tracking, training, performance? What else it's gonna track? I think those are the main three keys. They also have payroll. They also have time tracking. But I said, "No, we're not gonna mess up with QuickBooks right now." We got so kind of like, uh, used to use QuickBooks, so that's something that they're not going to provide. In case if you kind of Google that platform, they do have that, but we're not gonna move from QuickBooks as of right now. Yes?” - the Latinx lady
