I've seen a lot of nu-sonic fans claim that sonic adventure is the greatest game EVAR purely because in the 2000's/2010's soylennials claimed that it sucked and was the reason sonic became dogshit, which is ironic considering that all the soylennials who said it sucked actually played the game while the nu-defenders haven't

Fnaf. I played it when the first one came out and it was fun to play with my brother or friends, but it gets old quick and the lore is not the masterpiece the fans pretend it is. two sucked, three was pretty good though

Every FOTM game is the most overrated game for a month before it dies forever (mouthwashing, among us, fall guys, peak, lethal company, ect), but the game that immediately comes to my mind is Project Zomboid. It's trivially easy to survive indefinitely and to fight zombies (ignoring the strictly easier methods like cars, fire, and guns,) all you do is walk backwards and hold the attack button down. It'll pretend to have depth or be "realistic" but these mechanics either don't interract meaningfully with any of the other mechanics or are virtually useless. For example, you can set clothes down in the sun to make them dry faster. Which seems neat until you realize that wet/dirty clothes have zero real downside and are never worth the time it takes to clean or dry them. You have to regularly change your bandages or you'll get an infection, but infections do so, so little to the point that they might as well not do anything, most people don't even know what they do and never will. Despite being early access, the game has barely changed in half a decade (NPCS are never coming) and the changes they do make never fix the fundamental problems or add anything fun, it's always dumb gimmicks like replacing death animations with crappy ragdolls. C:DDA iz and always will be better and I will eternally seethe at redditors saying zomboid is a good game because they built a gay little shack with modded in real woman flags hung up on the walls in the middle of the woods. It's also fucking ugly and the "lore" sucks btw if that matters.

Generations has better day stages. The Warrior-Z games have better night stages. I don’t think the original critical reception was warranted but the newcaca worship of this game is dummyed. Also the story is overrated and if you boil things down it’s not that much more complicated than that of Generations or Colors. Also, Chip is annoying as fuck and his English voice is ear-piercing, they should’ve stuck to making him sound like a little kid like with the Japanese voice track.
