What is proto-anthro?

Proto-anthro is a broad term invented by me that describes the “furry fandom” before it was known as such.

Proto-anthro as an era ended after the attacks on the World Trade Center in September 11th, 2001.

Proto-anthro can be dated all the way back to the dawn of storytelling, an ancient example are Aesop’s Fables, which the most popular being The Fox and the Grapes.

This thread is meant for posting proto-anthros, proto-anthro is a very loose term, but it basically means absolutely *any* anthropomorphic animal caricature made before 9/11.

Would you ever go to a modern con? My understanding is that the American ones are on par with pride parades when it comes to degeneracy and that it would be impossible to enjoy it if you aren't an LGBTQAI2SMMIW+ ally.

If I had a proper head made, yes. But only for an evening tops, most of which being spent drifting about just observing what everyone else is doing. Probably go to the dealers den, get a con-book and other souveniers followed by hauling ass and going home. I wouldn't attend any huge panels unless there's a speech or some shit. I wouldn't book a hotel or anything y'know?

Just sat and watched it in full. I'd love to send screencaps but I didn't bother configuring greenshot correctly prior to hitting play so all of them are of my other screen which was running Shroomchiver for most of the runtime. Interesting watch to put it shortly. Found another source on archive.org asides my own that can be watched in your browser. For some reason search engines didn't catch this page meaning I had to rummage around for it.
