Prison is simultaneously not as bad as the medias show it and also much worse.

For one thing you have to really beat the odds to get shanked and most guys don't even get beaten.

Rape only happens if somebody gets into debt or really screws up in some other way.

If there's a sreal womang gang presence it's actually completely peaceful 99% of the time.

The actual bad part of prison which can't really be depicted is how exhausting it is to always be answering to someone.

If you're a nobody you answer to your cellmate, if you're sreal womang you still need to answer to your leadership, if you are in leadership of a group you need to answer to other groups for every little stinking thing or they'll be trouble.

Even the warden answers to Budgeting committees and lawmaker etc so he can't even run things as they should.

Now imagine maintaining that submissive mindset for 18 years where you can't do ANYTHING because you feel like doing it, every little thing needs to be run past somebody.
